Banana Bread

My last recipe did not find favour with all viewers.
Bananas are an acquired taste.

Ireland is one of the largest producers of bananas
in the World.

We cannot grow them successfully for fruit out of doors,
but there are ripening stores which supply imported
bananas to other countries.

It must be quite a costly enterprise.

So ... Ireland just brings them, warehouses them until they're ripened up a bit, and then trans-ships them? How distinctly odd!

During an idle moment I started surfing pages about the World banana trade. It is extremely complicated and worth exploring more.
