The Champagne region in France excels in plum pies. There are so many different types of plum grown there that it would take months to learn about them.
BTW, I've tried on two occasions last week to post a "Happy Thanksgiving" greeting on your blog, but could not get past the security systems.

I've always wanted to grow plums. Some day, when we've settled down, perhaps. We don't have a single plant in this house - merely two forlorn little African Violet leaves, trying to root.

Yum! Plum pie, though? Not a crisp, or a slump, or something where the fruit is safely on the bottom of the crust?
