Congratulations to all bloggers who have been shortlisted for the Irish Blog Awards.
Caroline, who has been a tower of strength and source of appetising recipes all year, should have been there too, I think. Many of the commentators on her Bibliocook Blog agree. It makes you take time out from all the pot wallopping to wonder about the why's and wherefore's of public acclaim. With the TV screen ajam with screaming prima donna chefs, it seems to me that the peaceful bloggers who share ideas quietly on the Net are Award Winners all.
A nice opportunity to say "Thank You" for all the new recipes.
And then, of course, there's always next year...

Thank you for your lovely comments - always nice to hear of someone enjoying the recipes and food-related meanderings. I'll have to get stuck into redesigning so I'll be ready for the 2009 awards!
